This beautiful Yellow Bourbon lot brings together coffees from 4 neighbouring farms: Fazenda Trapiá, Passeio, Lagoa, and Carmo. Located high in the mountains of the renowned Mantiqueira de Minas region, these producers share a commitment to quality and sustainable farming practices, creating a clean and sweet coffee with a classic Brazilian profile.
These farms were brought together by SMC, a specialty organisation with a sharp focus on the wellbeing of the producers and their families. They provide technical support, aid in harvest and post-harvest planning, and offer year-round training initiatives. Fazenda Trapiá is a familiar name at Round Hill, and the farm is a model of sustainable coffee farming, covering 440 hectares, of which 70 are dedicated to coffee. More than 30% of the land is preserved as native forest.
Seasonal buying is about seeing coffee as a crop not a commodity, buying in harmony with the growing seasons to enjoy coffee at its best. This kind of buying has always been the backbone of our business and it’s something we’ve improved and refined every year.
